Happy 2nd Birthday Cooper and Chloe!

My babies are two! I cannot believe it!!! I have two year old twins, doesn't that sound scary??

For both birthdays their Nana has cooked them a mini cake. I helped decorate them.
She knew they loved banana bread so she made them homemade banana cake.

Cooper and Chloe enjoyed the cakes, candle and singing Happy Birthday
much more than when we did it for their party.

Cooper figured out how to blow out the candle.

After some coaching and concentration, Chloe finally did it too!

We got them this little kitchen playset. They really do love it. Cooper served us water with ice several times and cooked up a few meals. Chloe loved all the buttons and using the phone and oven!

My favorite thing Chloe does is when she's concerned about something she will grab her cheeks, gasp and then say, "Oh no, what to do?" Or, "Oh no, what's happening?" It is sooo stinking cute! I think she might have gotten this from Miss Shelley! Chloe still plays more independently than Cooper does. She is the one that will get into the cabinets, push buttons, etc. She cuddles when she starts getting tired. She is a Daddy's girl (sigh) and prefers to snuggle with Daddy at night over Mommy. She will cuddle with Mommy more in the morning. She still likes to wrestle around with us when it's time to get dressed. She has NEVER liked getting dressed. She finds it quite funny. I have not taken her to the doctor yet for her weight and height but she is wearing 24 month tops and 18 month bottoms. It seems that this month the 18 month bottoms are getting too short but my poor baby can't seem to hold up the 24 months on her waist! She is still much smaller than Cooper even though Cooper seems to be slimming up. She LOVES animals just like her brother. She is my singer and dancer. She will sing away to a song in the car. It's so cute. Mommy and Chloe sing Stuck Like You by Sugarland together quite loudly in the car! She also likes to sing the alphabet song along with you. You can really only make out a few letters when she's singing. Speaking of letters, she can identify five or so and she counts...1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2.... And, if you get too loud, Little Miss will shush you!

Cooper is my little sensitive one. Okay, both can be sensitive but Cooper gets his little feelings hurt very easily. My most favorite thing Cooper does is his random hugs and acknowledgement. He will be playing and at a random moment he will walk up to me to hug and say, "Hi Mama". He is a pleaser so when he knows you are upset with him it really gets to him. Right now, he really wants to do many things on his own and it becomes a bit of a struggle to complete a task. Little tasks like opening his snack can be drawn out. First you have to hand him the unopened snack and then wait until he asks you to "open it please" or "help me please". If you immediately open it, it's all over! It has been awhile since we've been to the doctor (whoo hoo) so I'm not sure about his weight or height. For pants, he wears 24 months and can easily wear 2T and 3T tops. I like the tops to be long enough on him so I typically get 2T (or 3T if I like it enough and they don't have a 2T) tops. Cooper can identify many letters and counts up to 6. He is also quite impressive with the soccer ball. He can run along while kicking the ball, isn't that also call dribbling? Not sure. He does it very naturally. He seems to have natural athletic abilities so that will be exciting to watch develop! He is a MUCH better eater than Chloe.

I know I'm probably leaving out many things because they really can communicate with us their needs/wants and seem to be growing up very quickly. I suppose they will always be my babies but I do wish I could freeze time!
