We set out this morning to take some good game day pictures! We ended up having a very good time tossing the football around on the field. Go Texans! Beat them Cowboys!

Quack Quack!
This morning we took the babies to feed the ducks for their first official time. I tried taking them when they were barely crawling in the stroller but left quickly after the ducks got extremely aggressive! We had a great time today! I love good simple fun! When we were loading Cooper and Chloe in the car we told them we were going to feed the ducks. They got so excited like they knew exactly what we were going to be doing. It was so funny! We got a "quack quack" in the car a few times on the way there!
There weren't many ducks out today, we came upon these guys first.
They immediately wanted "UP!"
Then, they started chasing the ducks...
Come back!
Oh well, let's go find some more ducks...
Look Mommy, more ducks!
And, away they go...into someone's backyard pool!
My heart flip flopped when I viewed these two pics...
My precious boy!
My sweet angel girl....
I decided that when we move into another house with a beautiful backyard that I want one of these!
I loved all the birds coming out of the holes. Again, simple joy!
As we were leaving, Chloe, who is now saying full on sentences,
waved goodbye to the lake and said, "Bye bye, love you!"
Back at home playing with Daddy! I wish this picture turned out better!
I still had the camera set to outdoor lighting. Bummer!
We are talking up a storm over here at the Cummings house. When Chloe can't find Cooper she calls out, "Pooper, where are you?" Or, when she wants to see Nana, "Nana, where are you?" She says thank you pretty consistently when you give her something and will say please if you remind her. She repeats mostly everything you are saying. We were worried about her around her 18 month check up but we are feeling good now hearing her sweet voice. Her nickname these days is Miss Sassy Pants. Believe me, she has some SASS! Where she used to be the quiet one and let Cooper do things for her, she is now quite independent!
Cooper has become such a love bug. He is snuggling more and giving the best hugs. He is fond of his Mama! He is so sweet. If someone is hurt, he wants to fix it. He's also such a good helper. He picks his toys up when asked and will do it for Chloe too! He is much more sensitive out of the two. He gets his feelings hurt easily.
That doesn't mean the hitting has stopped though! UGH! We are still working on it. I feel that it's getting better but not sure how Miss Shelley feels. He does get embarrassed easily when getting in trouble so we try to pull him off by himself to do it. Getting in trouble means either a talk with him or time out. He definitely gets that it is wrong because he'll hug after he hits.
As for sibling love, they are already fighting with each other. Daddy had to break them up the other night when they both wanted the same toy. I suppose this is typical, I just didn't expect it this soon. Cooper will give in to Chloe WAY before Chloe will. She does not back down! They are together at all times and expect to be. They ALWAYS go to bed at the same time and wake up at the same time. They do everything together. I love how close they are and how they take care of each other. But boy, they can get into some scraps! I'm seeing a window into the future! Funny how they look for each other if one has left the room one minute and then be fighting the next! Typical sibling love I suppose. I was the same way with my brother Chady Wad!
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend! I'm excited about tomorrow's Texans vs. Cowboys came. Come on Texans, don't fail me now! I'm excited about the predicted cooler weather. I'm excited about the fun fall activites we have planned too! I just love FALL!

Good Times!
Yesterday was a really busy day but fun day. Maddie is on her jr. high's volleyball a-team. They had a tournament with three other schools yesterday and Maddie's Jr. High won! The day was exciting because one of her fellow club volleyball players was on another team stirring up some good clean rivalry fun with his dad (you'll be some pics below) and her cousin was also playing against her. All our girls played great!
drama...
funny how when you add friends it's not so embarrassing...
Maddie was a captain...
The dad's REALLY got into this...notice Pete holding a Bulldog sign...
and Chris and Christina wearing Bobcat shirts! The competition is on...
Todd and Pete decided to decorate Chris' car...
Chris' daughter is Mallory who has played club with Madison and Monica. I've mentioned the 3 M girls before on the blog. They are all great friends and the Dads have become greats friends too. So, of course there was some competition between the Dads. Monica and Madison both attend the same school and Mallory attends another school in the area. It's a bummer they aren't playing together but it made the day really fun. Their two schools tied each other each winning one game. The two games were so exciting. Both games were tight games all the way to the end. But, at the end of the tournament, we won against them by one point. YES! Bragging rights! I'm sure I'll be posting revenge pics soon! We were warned. Ha!
Maddie's cousin Maddie also played on an opposing team. (Psst, we won against them too!) She is on Maddie's step-dad's side of the family. Her name is Maddie as well and they are the same age!
Then, after a full day of volleyball we had a birthday party! Little Ethan turned 1. He is the son of our friends Meredith and Jason. I used to teach with Meredith. Maddie was a junior bridesmaid in their wedding and I was a bridesmaid. So fun! They are also expecting a little girl in January. The party was at a place called Wonderwild and it was great! So organized, just the right amount of time, and Cooper and Chloe absolutely loved it.

He was trying so hard to turn the wheel to make it go himself...

This was a happy Chloe about five minutes before a huge fit when it was time to go!
She cried halfway home. She didn't want to leave.
