Houston Children's Museum

Today, we went to the Houston Children's Museum. They have added so much to it and it's loads of fun! We all had a fabulous day! Maddie loved it and the babies really enjoyed the sights and sounds. Upstairs, they have a area called the "Tot Spot" which is for babies and toddlers. It was so cute, definitely a great place for the little ones!

This is Maddie trying to pull herself up to the top...she made it...oh...about this far...:)

Dad and Little Miss...The Tot Spot has a place for the little babies to do tummy time! So so cute!!!
This is actually a picture of their reflection!

Nice...and I was the one worried germs! We left some behind ourselves!

Still checking myself out in the mirror...

Chloe is still not a huge fan of tummy time...even in the Tot Spot...so it didn't last long!
We thought Maddie should partake in tummy time as well...:)The mats had little cut outs in them so babies could sit up. I thought these were adorable! What up?

Maddie making her way through that huge power tower maze thingy...she had to crawl through some pretty tight spaces but it was really cool!

On our way back home...Chloe was sharing with us how much fun she had!

Chloe ready for the summer and Coop's healthy heart!

Here is Chloe ready for the summer in her very first bathing suit!

Coop had an EKG done Tuesday to follow up on a concern from when he was born. He had some early "blips" on his EKG when he was in the NICU and we were told we needed to follow up with a cardiologist. We just now got into one and it turns out everything is developing and we really have no worries. We have to follow up one more time around age 4 but that's about it. The doctor said it was common in preemies. Here is a picture of him being ever so calm...it's like he knew he should be still...don't you just want to hug him?

Mother's Day Blessings!

My Mother's Day was stretched over two weekends! Last weekend, while we had Maddie we celebrated Mother's Day as a family. Maddie first presented me coupons she had made for me.

1) Maddie will do your laundry for 1 day!
2) Cooper and Chloe promise to not drool for one day!
3) Maddie will cook dinner for one night!
4) Cooper and Chloe promise to not cry for 24 hours!
5) Cooper and Chloe promise to not spit up for 1 day!
6) Cooper and Chloe promise to not have poopy diapers for 24 hours!
7) We will do the dishes for 1 day!
8) We'll love your more than Daddy for one whole day!
9) Maddie will do what ever you want for 1 day!
10) We will clean the house! (Useable only once!)

Then, Todd sent Maddie and I to have a girl's day out while he took care of the babies! He gave us the instructions to get manicures and pedicures and to shop for two pairs of shoes from any store that I chose! Last, Todd drove over an hour to get take out from PF Changs! My favorite!!! Since the babies were born, we have not eaten there because it's not really the baby bringing type establishment. This was a real treat! The day was great.

Today, was a wonderful day for me as well because we dedicated the babies to the Lord! I woke up to flowers from Todd and then we had to hit the floor running getting the babies dressed, fed, ourselves dressed and be at the church by 9:15. Nana and my best friend Toni were also there. Pastor Alex prayed for Cooper and Chloe and presented a scripture that matched with the meaning of their name. Chloe's name means "One Who Searches" which is so appropriate for Chloe. The scripture they attached to this meaning was, "Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore!" Psalm 105:4. Cooper's name means "Servant". The scripture for his name was, "Please follow their instructions and do everything you can to help them as well as all others like them who work hard at your side with such real devotion." 1 corinthians 16:16. I can't wait to see what God has in store for Cooper with this one!

While Pastor Alex presented their certificates they had their picture on the big screen.

Just couldn't pass this picture up. Cooper is loving this thing! Look at that smile he gave me this morning! Chloe also rolled from her tummy to her back this morning!
Today was a very special day for us. It is was so appropriate for me to dedicate Cooper and Chloe to God today on Mother's Day. Most everyone knows the trials that Todd and I went through to conceive. Every day I thank God for giving me the gift of being a Mother and what a way to show my gratitude! Thank you Todd, Maddie, Cooper and Chloe for my wonderful gifts and for making these past two weekends so special. I love you bunches!

5 Months Old Today!

Cooper and Chloe are 5 months old today! The time has flown by and they are getting so big. Their personalities are definitely shining through.

Cooper:
1) Rolls over from his tummy to his back and his back to his tummy.
2) This morning, Dad found him in the crib on his tummy and propped up on his arms looking over the rails of the bed! It's time to move the mattress down!
3) Smiles alot more these days.
4) Talks quite a bit.
5) Has to fall asleep in this one position in our arms.
6) Eating cereal and drinking around 36 ounces of formula a day.
7) Wears 6 to 9 month clothes.
8) Laughs when his belly is tickled...notice picture below with big sis!

Chloe:
1) Very content to lay on her back and see the world. Always has to see what's going on.
2) Talks up a storm!
3) Smiles at anything and everyone! She is always smiling. The only time she is crying is when she is tired and will fall asleep within 10 minutes or so.
4) Wears 6 months clothes.
5) Plays with her cereal.
6) Has discovered her brother. Notice picture below where she is staring at him...she will smile away at him and he doesn't even acknowledge it! Typical boy!
7) Cuddles with you when she first wakes up.
8) Makes our family laugh!

As you can see, we are still having a hard time getting a picture where both are smiling. These were taken within seconds of each other.

Not so sure...
Chloe will only do tummy time up on the ottoman because she can still catch what's going on around her...
