We're here!

I cannot believe it's been since August 8th since I've blogged. It's been crazy busy around here since I returned to work and school started. Plus, my laptop broke on the Vegas trip and I have had limited access to Todd's work laptop. No worries, a new laptop is being sent to me as we speak. YAY! I have a few random pictures to share...

Maddie's first day of school....

We were blessed this year to have Maddie for the first time with us on the first day of school. We loved watching her prepare for the first day. Gone are the days that she was most worried about supplies and her lunch kit, it's now clothes, make-up, nails, eyebrow waxing, shoes, etc. And, she makes a mess in the bathroom! I'm sure Mom is thinking this is pay back time for many years of messy bathrooms growing up. I'm sure she finds this funny that I'm even mentioning it. This was a quick picture taken before she hopped on the bus. Todd said Cooper followed her down the sidewalk wanting to join her.

This tickles us silly. In the mornings and after nap time, we find Cooper with nothing in his crib and Chloe with four pillows, two lovies and usually two blankets. Cooper hung onto his blanket this time. When we put them down, each have their own set.
The next set of pictures were taken this last weekend at my cousin Zachary's graduation party.

Chloe was watching everyone in the pool and after a few
minutes said to me while pointing her finger, "Outside!"
She was happy as can be...
LTTP! (Love them to pieces!)
One has to be pretty brave to walk in with Texans gear to a house full of Dallas Cowboy fans! However, Cooper did it proudly and it was an oh so sweet victory when the Texans beat them Cowboys!

Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be Cowboys...

Next set of random pics...

Isn't this so cute!?
It's getting easier and more productive.
So, here it is September 1st which means we survived crazy August. Hopefully it's smooth sailing from here. The first week of school was brutal on this Mama. Todd was out of town, the babies got a high fever and rash, I came home one of the days to a furnace and thankfully the A/C just had to be reset and then the TV went out. I am so looking forward to Labor Day weekend. My mom and I might drive up with my Aunt and Uncle to College Station to see my cousins' new apartment. That should bring back some memories. Perhaps I should bring them a case of ramen. Or, maybe I will bring them my college recipe book where Mom wrote down all our family dinners so that I would know how to cook them. You guys, she even wrote down that I liked Kraft Macaroni cheese (in the dark blue box) and how to cook it and that I could add tuna and peas and call it a tuna casserole! HA! Those were the days. Todd got a new TV out of the deal so he is happy as a lark. Now he's trying to convince me to let him mount it on the wall. My hesitation is the furniture, you have to make sure you have the right piece of furniture! Stay tuned on that one. I think I might actually cave.

The babies are doing great and just plain growing up. They seem to be more like kids than babies and I wonder if I am going to ever stop calling them "the babies". They are hitting each other more so I'm trying to work on that with them. They've spent some time in time-out. I guess this is all about growing up. Sigh.

I'm off to sit a spell on the couch. I'm beyond tired. My goal for the week after Labor Day is to EXERCISE! Stay tuned! Another Sigh.
