Adventures at 20 Months!

Today, Cooper and Chloe turned 20 months old! Four more months until they are two! I cannot believe it!

At twenty months old, I had to take this toy away because this is how they played with it....

At twenty months old, Chloe has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger and FINALLY saying Mommy!

At twenty months old, as you can see, they are very active and have learned MANY moves from their gymnastics class! To burn off some energy I took them to Stomping Grounds Friday. They loved it for about 30 minutes!

This weekend we took a quick trip to Rockport. When we got to our hotel we ate lunch in the lobby. We had stopped at Buccee's and got these cute shirts. They had drenched the shirts they had on with their water bottles so they came in handy.

At twenty months old, they LOVE the beach! We were amazed at how much they loved playing in the sand and water compared to when we went to Florida in June. Go figure! Look at this beach compared to our pics from Florida.

Maddie also loves the beach these days. I believe I said that in my Florida trip post. She's always enjoyed the beach when we went but for some reason she seems to be loving it more these days.

I would like to add that I do not want to put pictures of Maddie up in her bathing suit. So, unfortunately, she doesn't have as many pics in this post. And, she's a jr. higher, she's into the "nooooo....put the camera away...." phase right now! ARGH!

At 20 months old, my babies (oh, okay we all are) picky about hotels! We are blessed to earn many points for Hilton hotels from Todd's work trips. We haven't paid for a hotel in years. It is such a bonus! We have taken friends and family on trips as well. So, we have become very fond of the Hilton chain. Not only that, typcially we get upgraded to a suite which is ideal when you have babies who go to bed before everyone else and wake up before everyone else. So, we headed to Rockport thinking surely we would get upgraded. After Todd checked in, he came back to us and told us that they were booked and didn't have a suite available. What!? I truly thought he was joking. We were really going to all be in one room? Maddie asked, and I'm not even joking, "I'm not going to have my own room? Or, bathroom?" Seriously!?

At twenty months, she too loves the Hilton white pillows....

At twenty months, they stayed up until 8:30 (7:00 is bedtime normally) on our trip....

And woke up at 6:00 AM!

I believe Cooper must have woken up the entire hotel because when we went down for breakfast we got some looks! Maddie stayed in bed hoping to get a few more minutes of beauty sleep. She was not happy this morning! She and Dad went to the movies last night when the babies went down. Seriously, what do you do with two sleeping babies in one room with three other people? I took a looooonnnnngggg bath and read.

After breakfast, Chloe watched some TV...

At twenty months, they both LOVE Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Sesame Street.

And, at twenty months, they will NOT sit in the brown chair together for a picture...

I don't even know what's up with the coloring on this one but I loved it...

At twenty months, Chloe is catching up to Cooper as far as how many words they are saying. She held back for awhile but she's added quite a few to her vocabularly in the past month or so. She used to only call Dada's name and now she is saying Mommy. I'm Chloe's Mommy and Cooper's Mama. DeeDee is their big sister, Maddie. It is oh so precious when they call her name when she comes back to our house. And, it is oh so sad when they are crying DeeDee when she has to leave. At twenty months, they love their DeeDee.  

At twenty months, they are EXTREMELY picky eaters. The sure win is pasta. Anything with pasta (minus the vegetables). I try to hide the vegetables in their food and Chloe finds them and picks them out. She makes a very neat and organized pile of all the things she doesn't like first and then eats the rest. Cooper does a little better with the vegetables. They also are not big meat eaters right now. Surely that will change!

At twenty months, Cooper loves to tumble and jump from one piece of furniture to the next. Please help me!

At twenty months, Chloe is still between size 12m and 18m in pants and can wear 18m to 24m tops. She just doesn't have much to hold her pants up! :) Cooper is definitely moving into 24m clothing.

At twenty months, they still sleep 11 1/2 to 12 hours at night and take a 2 hour nap.

At twenty months, their Mommy/Mama and Dada love them to pieces and go to sleep everynight talking about all the cute things they did that day. Dada will typically fall asleep saying, "those little stinkers".
