Stuck out in the blue bonnets - Literally!

Go ahead and take a peek at these beautiful pictures before I tell you how this day went! It was definitely the perfect blog material kind of day!

I believe this picture could be put in a magazine!

It is very hard for Madison to hold both babies where they do not all look totally uncomfortable. So, I thought we'd try just having her hold only one at a time. We started with Chloe and after two pictures were taken both babies started crying. It was their feeding time. As you can see Chloe is looking a little grumpy.

So, we rushed back to the car, fixed their bottles, changed their diapers, took out lawn chairs and sat down to feed them. That's when we realized what we had done! And, the panic started (okay maybe I just panicked, Maddie chewed her nails, Todd stayed his usual calm self). WE LOCKED OUR KEYS IN THE CAR...along with the diaper bag that held their pacifiers, more diapers, more food, sun block, etc. You guys...I was in panic mode. For those of you who know about the day these two babies were born and the little panic attack that I had right b/f my surgery...this was very much like that one. Todd called a locksman first...there wasn't one in Chappell Hill where I had to go today to take pictures in the blue bonnets. The nearest one was in another town and it would take over 2 hours to get to us. By this point, my stomach is turning and I'm realizing there is NO bathroom ANYWHERE! We then called my mom. She drove over to our house to get my set of keys (thank the Good Lord that I didn't have my set in my diaper bag) and then brought my keys to us. It took her about an hour and 20 minutes. I REALLY have to use the restroom by this point so I asked this lovely couple if they could drive me to the nearest restroom. They were so nice and took me to one about a mile up the road. Todd, Maddie and the babies stayed behind, the babies couldn't go anywhere without a carseat. About 30 minutes after I return, I am still on edge and my tummy is still hurting. So...I have to ask ANOTHER couple to take me to the restroom. TWO absolutely wonderful couples that were so nice helped us today. The second time Maddie went with me and Todd stayed behind with the babies. This is where the story gets EVEN better.....Todd is sitting in a lawn chair in a field of blue bonnets by himself with both babies that are crying. He's trying to bounce them and calm them down. A man drives up with his family and rolls down his window and says, "I've gotta get a picture of this!" AND TAKES HIS PICTURE!! Hilarious! After Maddie and I return, I'm much calmer at this point and realize my mom is only about 30 minutes away. I decide that it would be a SHAME if I didn't leave with any pictures in the blue bonnets. While we waited for Nana we took more pictures. At this point, Cooper's diaper was about to explode but we got some cute shots anyway. When we were packing up after Nana arrived a woman approached us. She said that she had laid down her purse in the field and it was gone. She didn't have her car keys. She asked if we could give her a ride home. How could we say no when two couples helped us? Todd took her home in the Spring Branch area in my mom's car and we fed the babies again before leaving ourselves. Needless to say, it was an eventful day but I'm glad we now have these beautiful pictures! Happy Spring everyone!!!

Chloe was trying to eat the flowers!

Coop!

Yeah!!! Nana is our hero!!! Mom's going to realize that we didn't ALL get a picture together when she starts uploading these pictures on the blog! OOPS! She had a lot on her mind!

Well, we made it home! This was the end of our crazy day! Here is a little clip of Cooper eating cereal for the first time! Cooper has been eating an INSANE amount of formula this last week and still not satsified. So, we tried cereal for the first time today. Look how cute he is!!!

Yummy to my tummy!

Playtime! These pictures were taken earlier this week! Chloe staring intently on the hanging toys!

They are enjoying their Exersaucer!

I am very grateful for those two wonderful couples who were trusting enough to help someone in need. I did ask two women that were driving in the same car at first and they told me they were not comfortable with driving me somewhere. I totally understood because I would have felt the same way. I am very grateful that we were able to help someone else and that we were trusting enough to do so as well! I am also totally in love with these kiddos and thank God everyday for each one of them!
